Tampico Fibre Turkey Wing Hand Broom (Hemp Cord)

Description

These gorgeous and practical brooms have been made using Tampico, a natural fibre made from the Algave plant. The bristles are soft and can be used on various surfaces around your home, workshops, offices, potting sheds, camper vans. The brooms are made using ancient methods still practised by besom/broom makers around the globe. Unlike spinning spindles used to spin wool, a brush-making foot spindle is a tensioning device controlled by your feet. It keeps the twine under extreme tension so you can tightly weave and wrap cord around a wooden handle to build the brush/besom. I have used hemp cord for the handle grip and finished with a leather hanging loop to store when not in use.
